Practice Areas
Simon is an employment and discrimination law specialist, with a wide-ranging practice in the employment tribunal, High Court and appellate courts. He has extensive experience of employment law and is frequently instructed in complex and high-value claims, particularly those involving whistle-blowing and discrimination. He is regularly instructed in industrial relations disputes, particularly for injunction applications. Simon also undertakes disciplinary and regulatory work and conducts investigations, frequently in the health care and higher education sectors and for trade unions. He also has a pensions and data protection practice. Recent work includes acting on behalf of sub-postmasters in claims over their working status, High Court data protection litigation, injunction applications in industrial relations disputes and a high-profile investigation for a major trade union.
Career
Before becoming a barrister, Simon trained and worked as a teacher.
