Charlie acts for Claimants and Defendants in personal injury and clinical negligence claims of the utmost severity, complexity and sensitivity.

Most of Charlie’s caseload involves high value, complex or catastrophic injury claims including fatal injuries, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries and severe orthopaedic injuries, often resulting in amputation. Charlie has particular expertise in representing insurers in claims involving injuries and illnesses that are often seen to straddle the organic/psychological divide including mild traumatic brain injuries and chronic pain and associated disorders, including Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Functional Neurological Disorder

Charlie is regularly instructed in liability disputes involving complex contested expert evidence including road traffic accident, industrial/engineering accidents, riding accidents, sport/outdoor activity accidents and cases involving expert financial evidence. Charlie also has considerable experience of acting for serving and former members of the armed forces.

He has considerable experience in clinical negligence acting at inquest and in civil proceedings in a wide range of clinical accident claims including fatal accident claims, obstetric negligence claims and claims arising from delayed diagnoses.
