Eleena specialises in complex, high value and high-profile employment and regulatory cases, especially in the healthcare and education sectors. She has significant experience in dealing with sensitive discrimination claims requiring careful witness handling skills often with associated High Court, appellate or regulatory litigation. Eleena has broad and deep commercial and public law experience in cases of substance across the full spectrum of employment work at both the advisory and advocacy stages, for clients ranging from law firms and banks to local authorities, senior executives and public sector workers. Eleena has notable expertise in and a calm leadership approach to time sensitive and stressful High Court injunctions / speedy trials, such as in confidential information and MHPS (healthcare) cases. Eleena holds a qualification in Forensic Medicine and accepts instructions in medico-legal cases and inquests. In addition, Eleena is often sought out for difficult investigations (especially involving sexual misconduct) and lectures in her specialist areas of work. Eleena is the Chair of the Law Reform Committee of the Bar Council and an experienced Advocacy Trainer and member of the Professional Discipline Committee at Middle Temple.
