Rich’s practice focuses on antitrust and consumer protection law. Rich has extensive experience securing clearance for deals from the Federal Trade Commission (“FTC”) and Department of Justice (“DOJ”), navigating FTC and DOJ investigations, and representing clients in government, competitor and class action litigation. Rich began his legal career at the FTC, first as a Staff Attorney in the Mergers I Division, and then as Senior Trial Counsel in the Bureau of Competition. Rich serves in the leadership of the Antitrust Section of the ABA and previously was an editor of a leading antitrust treatise. Rich also taught competition law as an Adjunct Professor at the Sturm College of Law at Denver University from 2013–2015.
