Matthew Arenson

Matthew Arenson is a corporate partner in the Miami office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP and was a founding partner of that office in 2023, after more than 15 years in the Firm’s Chicago office. His practice primarily involves representing private equity sponsors and private companies in mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and recapitalizations. Matthew also counsels clients on a range of general corporate matters, including governance and executive compensation. His clients include AE Industrial Partners, Blue Owl, Brightstar Capital Partners, Emerald Lake Capital Management, L Catterton, Neos Partners, Palm Peak Capital, SK Capital Partners, Sun Capital Partners, Water Street Healthcare Partners, as well as many of their portfolio companies.
