Mariana worked at the Holland & Knight law firm offices in the US. She was a senior associate at Cárdenas law firm from 2005 through 2013, until her incorporation to Nicholson y Cano, after the merger of both firms.

Mariana has solid experience in corporate law, with outstanding performance advising domestic and foreign companies on issues related to commercial, corporate, foreign exchange, banking, finance and international law.
She has been involved in the structuring, negotiation and implementation of domestic and cross-border investments, including the drafting and negotiation of agreements with high level of complexity, such as the Loma Campana, Narambuena and El Orejano project loans. She has also participated in several project finance transactions, mainly in the infrastructure sector in Latin America with PPP projects and has been involved in several solar and wind farm projects.

Advised YPF on its agreements with Chevron for the exploration and devoleopment of shale oil and shale gas in the Loma Campana and Narambuena areas, in the Vaca Muerta formation, in the Province of Neuquén.
Advised YPF on the Project loan and other agreements with Dow for the pilot Project and development of shale gas in the El Orejano área, in the in the Vaca Muerta formation, in the Province of Neuquén.
Advised Colombia’s Financiera de Desarrollo Nacional de Colombia as liquidity lender in several infrastructure Project financing, among them Pacífico 3, winner of Latin Finance and Latin Lawyer deal of the year 2016, and Alto Magdalena and Conexión Norte, winners of Latin Finance 2017 Best Local Currency Financing and Best Road Financing awards.
Advised Skanska in the sale of Skanska Argentina to the Pérez Companc group.
Advised Ally Financial Inc. in the sale of GMAC Compañía Financiera S.A. to Banco Patagonia.
