Marc Sernel has extensive experience acting as lead trial counsel in all aspects of patent and other technology-related litigation. Praised in the Legal 500 for his “excellent legal instincts,” Marc has acted as lead counsel and handled all aspects of trial work in various district courts and at the U.S. International Trade Commission, and he has successfully argued numerous cases at the Patent Trial and Appeal Board and the Federal Circuit. Marc’s unique background involves experience with the most complex technical matters across a wide variety of subject areas, ranging from biotech (e.g. nucleic acid assays and intracellular transcription factors) to high tech (cutting edge mobile device or hearing implant technology) to everything in between. Marc has been recognized as a “Leading Lawyer” for Patent Litigation in Illinois and in “Who’s Who” for Life Sciences Patent Litigation the past several years.
