Practice Areas
Since 2002, Malin Wikström has been dedicated to assisting private, municipal, and state-owned companies, as well as municipalities, in navigating the complexities of environmental law. As head of Setterwalls’ environmental team at the Gothenburg office, she is responsible for overseeing all matters related to environmental law.
Malins expertise is regularly sought by clients who engage her as lead counsel for permit applications in land and environmental courts, particularly for large and complex environmentally hazardous activities and water operations across Sweden. She has extensive experience in evaluating infrastructure facilities, including ports and airports, development projects, waste facilities, and large industries. In recent years, Malin also provided counsel for assessments within the green transition, such as BioCCS.
Beyond permit applications, my work encompasses a wide range of environmental issues. Malin assist clients with issues relating to environmental supervision, species protection, Natura 2000, environmental damages, environmental crimes, and occupational health and safety concerns.
As an experienced lecturer, Malin regularly deliver lectures in various external contexts and for clients, sharing her knowledge and insights on environmental law and related topics.
