Practice Areas
Principal areas of practice are regulatory, inquests and inquiries, licensing and complementary aspects of civil law.
A comprehensive range of regulatory crime and business compliance work is undertaken, including: health and safety; fire safety; trade and consumer; environmental and food law.
He acted for The Football Association throughout the Hillsborough Inquests. He represents a corporate participant in the Grenfell Tower Public Inquiry.
His licensing instructions cover areas of business subject to statutory licensing regimes (e.g. energy and finance) as well as entertainment, alcohol and transport.
His complementary civil practice includes public/employer/product liability and nuisance.
He now principally defends significant corporations and their officers. However, he also represents national regulators, local authorities and trading standards.

After graduating he worked in Japan before returning to Cambridge University to study international law. Called to the Bar by the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple in 1998. After a period with Allen and Overy he joined Six Pump Court in 2000.
