David specialises in regulatory and administrative law with particular expertise in representing national and multinational businesses, and national and local government bodies, in environmental, health & safety, food, consumer protection and health & social care matters. He is appointed to the List of Specialist Regulatory Advocates in Health & Safety and Environmental Law (List A).
He has been described in the legal directories as “highly intelligent”, “down to earth”, “extremely approachable”, “thorough and diligent”, someone who “is very capable on his feet” and “an absolutely brilliant advocate for his clients”.
He has substantial experience of regulatory prosecutions, judicial reviews and High Court appeals, statutory appeals, inquests, inquiries, tribunal procedures and claims before the civil courts. He has acted in all levels of courts up to and including the Supreme Court and the Court of Justice of the European Union.
