He has long-standing experience in most serious cases, including multiple fatality incidents involving allegations of gross negligence manslaughter and corporate manslaughter across a range of industries. Clients include multi-national organisations, government departments and directors/managers. He has also acted for organisations in some of the most high profile environmental cases which have recently been before the courts.

Recent examples include the following:

• instructed by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government in relation to the Grenfell Tower fire;

• represented Walleys Quarry Limited in various proceedings concerning the operation of its landfill site in Newcastle under Lyme (including in a mediation process chaired by Lord Carnwath).
