Christopher Badger is a leading junior barrister with a nationally recognised practice in environmental law. He is regularly instructed in complex and high-profile matters, including cases involving hazardous waste disposal, waste exportation, and environmental issues linked to major infrastructure projects such as the Thames Tideway super-sewer. His practice spans early-stage strategic advice through to trial and appellate advocacy.
Christopher has appeared in several landmark cases, including Environment Agency v Walker & Son (Hauliers) Ltd, the defining authority on landowner liability, and R v Rogers, Beaman and Tapecrown Ltd, a leading case on fresh evidence in sentence appeals. He also acted in Environment Agency v Tapecrown Ltd, which clarified the Court of Appeal’s jurisdiction in contempt proceedings.
