Kristen Fournier is a litigation partner in the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Kristen has extensive experience serving as lead defense counsel in multidistrict litigations, as well as overseeing the coordinated defense of nationwide mass tort and product liability matters. She provides state-of-the-art defense strategies to companies facing high-profile, high-risk matters, particularly matters with acute national media scrutiny and related reputational considerations. Kristen is known for her sophisticated understanding of jury trends and her unique ability to craft messages that drive home her client’s objectives. She leverages her knowledge of human behavior to build long-term, litigation-wide strategies that ultimately guide judges, juries and the court of public opinion to the right conclusion for her clients.
Kristen’s practice spans the full scope of today’s product liability and mass tort landscape, covering sectors including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, consumer products, technology and environmental torts. Beyond her MDL and strategy work, Kristen has served as a first chair trial lawyer for cases venued in some of the most difficult jurisdictions across the country, including New York, NY; Baltimore, MD; Philadelphia, PA and New Orleans, LA.
