John has also represented clients in dozens of SEC and other regulatory enforcement investigations and has regularly advised corporations, boards, and board committees regarding compliance and corporate governance matters. John has tried more than two dozen cases and has argued numerous appeals in both federal and state courts.
Before joining Kirkland, John was an Assistant United States Attorney in Chicago and a law clerk for the Honorable William J. Bauer of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit
