Jesper Kaltoft

Jesper Kaltoft advises Danish and non-Danish clients on navigating within the framework of competition law. Together with management, he determines the best strategy seen from a compliance and operational point of view when it comes to, for example, price and discounts, distribution systems and trading relationships.

In connection with regulatory investigations and notifiable mergers, he assists in finding solutions to any concerns raised, which are acceptable and feasible for the client. He has represented clients in numerous cases on competition law aspects before the Danish competition authorities, the European Commission and the courts, including in connection with notifiable mergers.

Jesper advises several public enterprises and authorities on all aspects of procurement law from determination of tender strategy to process handling, in particular in connection with complex contracts. He advises private enterprises on their participation in tender procedures and on entering into consortium cooperation. He has represented clients in several cases within procurement law before the Complaints Board for Public Procurement and the courts and has contributed with reports and investigations for public authorities.

Jesper is effective and focused on finding solutions and has the distinct ability to understand complex business relations and commercial aspects.

Jesper is co-author of books, articles and guidelines on competition law, merger control and procurement law. For several years, he has been an external lecturer at the University of Copenhagen and at the training programme of the Danish Bar and Law Society, where he is appointed external examiner.
