Johan Weihe

Johan Weihe specialises in energy and utility law and is head of Bech-Bruun's energy practice group. Johan has more than 20 years of experience in advising the energy sector.

Johan advises Danish and foreign clients on oil and gas licensing and contractual matters, carbon capture and storage (CCS), and projects within renewable energy, biogas, hydrogen, and Power-to-X. Johan advises utility companies on utility law matters and organisational and ownership issues.

Johan is a much sought-after adviser by public authorities and companies, especially in the energy and utilities area, due to his experience with municipal law and public law issues. The combination of Johan's legal insight and insight into the energy and utility sector means clients often use him as a strategic sounding board.

Johan is a member of Danske Advokaters Fagudvalg for Klima, including anchor person for the subgroup Energy & Supply.

As a foundation law expert, Johan was appointed member of the Danish Company Appeals Board by the Minister for Economic and Business Affairs.

Johan frequently gives lectures on energy law, municipal law, and foundation law to, among others, municipalities, clients, and in Bech-Bruun Academy.
