Giles has over two decades’ experience advising investors in Vietnam focusing on private and public M&A transactions and energy project development and financing work. He has advised foreign investors and lenders on a range of projects across Vietnam – from wind, solar, commercial rooftop solar, waste-to-energy, through to large-scale gas exploration, gas and coal-fired BOT power and LNG to power projects. In addition, he is at the forefront of Vietnamese energy and infrastructure legal frameworks – having advised on the development of the direct power purchase agreement (DPPA) pilot project for renewable energy projects and projects to implement Vietnam's new PPP law. Giles speaks and writes regularly on energy and Vietnam investment matters.
