Donna Welch is a Kirkland trial lawyer with experience in state and federal courts around the country. She has tried complex cases involving a broad range of business and commercial issues, including products liability and commercial disputes for pharmaceutical clients. Her practice includes public nuisance claims, breach of fiduciary duty, government investigations, class actions and litigation involving fraud and civil RICO. Donna was recognized as an American Lawyer “Litigator of the Week” for achieving a complete defense win in one of the first suits tried against manufacturers in the national opioid litigation; she also obtained the then-largest civil verdict recorded in Wisconsin and a Top Ten National Jury Verdict involving claims for breach of fiduciary and RICO. Donna serves as pro bono coordinator for Kirkland’s Chicago office and has been the recipient of several awards for her pro bono litigation achievements.
