Personal

Mr. Shao represented domestic and foreign clients in the areas of direct foreign investment, international trade, and corporate financing, and participated in a few major international arbitration cases.

During the work in international law firms from 1995 to 2001, Mr. Shao was involved extensively in foreign direct investment, securities (including B-share, H-share, and red chip listing on the stock exchange in China, Hong Kong, London and the U.S.), venture capital, project finance and real estate matters and representing a number of well-known multinational companies.

Since joining JunHe LLP, he has represented various multinational corporations and investment funds on their investments and mergers and acquisitions in China.

Mr. Shao has acted as PRC counsel for either the issuer or the underwriter for the IPO and domestic or offshore listing of PRC conglomerates or high-growth companies. He has also been active in the practice areas of foreign direct investment, venture capital, PE investment, real estate, hotel management, infrastructure and project finance, aviation, commercial arbitration and litigation.

Mr. Shao is a towering and venerable figure in capital markets, particularly known for his ECM work. He has considerable experience advising on Shanghai and Hong Kong-related offerings. He heads JunHe's Shanghai office.
