Mr. Chenliang Li is a partner at JunHe and acts as the managing partner of the Capital Market practice in JunHe’s Shanghai office.
Mr. Li initially joined JunHe in 2004 and practiced with the firm until 2007. The following year, he joined O’Melveny & Myers’ Shanghai office before returning to JunHe in July 2010.
Mr. Li has acted as the China legal counsel to the issuer or the sponsor (the underwriter) in onshore and offshore IPOs, restructurings, and bond offerings of Chinese state-owned conglomerates, as well as those of high-growth companies. He has also represented onshore and offshore listed companies and their counterparties in controlling stake acquisition, refinancing, substantial asset acquisitions and cross-border investments. Mr. Li has provided legal advice to well-known multinational companies, private equity funds and venture capital funds with regard to their mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments and venture capital investments in China. He has also acted as the China legal adviser to leading start-ups across various industries in their private equity financing, equity incentive plans, and business compliance issues.
