Andrew D Small

Andrew Small is a partner in the Real Estate Group in the Chicago office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. He has extensive experience advising real estate private equity investors and public companies on a wide range of real estate investment, financing, and asset management matters across all asset classes. Andrew regularly assists clients with acquisitions, dispositions, single-asset and programmatic joint ventures, the formation of real estate platforms, development projects, and complex financing transactions, including mortgage loans, mezzanine debt, and preferred equity structuring.

Andrew earned his B.B.A. from the University of Michigan and J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School. Andrew is also an Adjunct Professor at The University of Chicago where he teaches a course on real estate transactions
