Andrea Agathoklis Murino’s unique combination of private and public sector experience allows her to provide practical, bespoke and efficient pathways to achieving her clients’ business objectives. Her primary focus is securing clearances for proposed transactions from the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC), state attorneys general, and international competition law enforcement agencies. She regularly represents clients through every component of transaction-related investigations, from routine inquiries to high-profile Second Requests to litigation. Murino has extensive merger litigation experience, including serving as a senior member of a trial team that sought to defend a rare consummated merger challenge in federal court. Murino served the key decision-makers at both federal antitrust agencies, as a Counsel to two Assistant Attorneys General for Antitrust at the DOJ, and as an Attorney Advisor to a Chairman and Commissioner of the FTC. She further advises clients on civil non-merger conduct matters before the DOJ, FTC, and state attorneys general, in private litigation, and on a range of consumer protection matters.
