Mr. Chen graduated from Shanghai University and Tongji University, and has over 25 years of practice experience. Before joining Jingtian & Gongcheng, Mr. Chen served as a partner of a famous domestic law firm and a senior counsel of a well-known Singapore law firm.
Mr. Chen is currently the executive director of Jingtian & Gongcheng Shanghai Office, responsible for the daily affairs management of the office. He is also the legal advisor of the Xuhui District People’s Government. Meanwhile, he is an independent director of Livit Life Insurance Company Limited and an A-share listed company.
Mr. Chen specializes in capital market, M & A, investment and financing. In recent years, with his practice mainly focused on the consumer industry, Mr. Chen’s clients have been involved in a wide range of consumer and retail industries, including offline leisure and entertainment, outdoor sports and equipment, domestic cosmetics, pop toys and animation, which include Pop Mart (pop toys), Judydoll Makeup (domestic cosmetics), Mei KTV (chain brand of Internet KTV), MR. X (script entertainment), Snow 51 (ski training), Man Wah Holdings (Recliner Sofa manufacturer), etc. The Hong Kong listing project of Pop Mart completed by Mr. Chen's team as the issuer's PRC legal advisor won the “Tianxin List-The Most Representative IPO Cases of Startups of 2020”.
Mr. Chen’s countless years of practice experience has given him a keen insight into the market. Some transactions of him have earned a high degree of attention in the industry. Mr. Chen’s comprehensive professional capabilities are also highly recognized by clients and domestic and foreign professional parties such as underwriters.
Mr. Chen has obtained the PRC lawyer's qualification, qualification of independent director of insurance companies and listed companies, and membership of internal verification committee of securities company.
Mr. Chen is fluent in both Mandarin and English.
