Zejia (Sunny) Chen joined Jingtian & Gongcheng as a Partner in 2008. Based in Shanghai and Hong Kong, he specializes in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, private equity investment, and compliance and risk management for publicly-listed companies.
Sunny has participated in numerous IPOs and listing transactions for Chinese enterprises on domestic and international stock exchanges in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Singapore, and the United States of America. His sector experience relating to IPOs ranges across advertising, energy, food and beverage, life sciences, manufacturing, media, property, and technology among many others. He also serves as legal counsel to a number of listed companies.
With deep experience in private equity investments and acquisitions, Sunny has also participated in a large number of private equity transactions in China. He obtained his PRC lawyer's qualification certificate in 2000. Sunny graduated from Fudan University Law School with a Ph.D. in Civil and Commercial law. He is fluent in Mandarin, English, and Cantonese.
