Xiaofeng Chai is a partner at Jingtian & Gongcheng, specializing in construction and corporate commercial dispute resolution, with fifteen years of professional experience.
Prior to joining Jingtian & Gongcheng in May 2025, Mr. Chai practiced at AllBright Law Offices and the Shanghai office of King & Wood Mallesons. He has extensive experience representing clients from the infrastructure, manufacturing, energy, automotive, healthcare, and real estate sectors in construction contract disputes. He is frequently instructed on matters involving EPC contracts, long-term supply and service agreements, design and construction liabilities, variation issues, and delay-related responsibilities.
Mr. Chai is also a licensed First-Class Registered Constructor, which allows him to approach construction disputes with a strong understanding of technical issues, project scheduling, and cost assessment. This background enables him to effectively bridge legal analysis and engineering facts, enhancing the precision and depth of claim evaluation and evidentiary review.
In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Chai serves as an arbitrator with the Xi'an Arbitration Commission and as an accredited mediator with the International Dispute Resolution & Risk Management Institute (IDRRMI), the Mainland–Hong Kong Joint Mediation Center (CCPIT), and the Greater Bay Area Intellectual Property Mediation Center.
