Jeff Liu was granted with L.L.B and L.L.M (International Law) degree in Shanghai University of International Business and Economics.

Jeff Liu joined Jingtian & Gongcheng in early 2018, before joining Jingtian, Jeff Liu has been working in a well-recognized local law firm in Shanghai for eight years.

Jeff Liu specialises in banking, real estate, private equity and merger & acquistion related legal services and in advising the structure of project financing and equity transactions, as well as in providing legal services of fabricating relevant transaction documents and for real east development.

Mr. Liu has represented numerous domestic and international private equity companies and has been responsible for designing transaction structure, preparing transaction documents in dozens of investment and acquisition projects. Mr. Liu has also acted for multiple PE in setting up and formation of investment entities. Mr. Liu has provided services to PE entities including Blackstone Asia Investment, V-Capital (Subsidiary of Vanke), LaSalle, Kailong. Meanwhile, Mr. Liu has also acted for major domestic and international financial institutions and their branches within and outside China, including Bank of Communications, China Merchants Bank, Shanghai Pudong Development Bank, Shanghai Rural and Commercial Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, ANZ, DBS, OCBC Bank, Hang Seng Bank, United Overseas Bank, Cathay UnitedBank, Industrial Bank of Taiwan, as well as major state-owned enterprises known as State Grid, China Eastern Airlines, Commercial AircraftCorporation of China Guotai JunanSecurities, Industrial Securities. Mr. Liu has participated in drafting the whole set of legal instruments of a commercial bank, and used to work in a prestigious foreign bank.
