Wendy Rae

Wendy is an M&A and foreign investment specialist who focuses on energy, infrastructure, data and other sensitive sectors. Wendy has advised on numerous FIRB approvals for pension funds, state owned enterprises, sovereign wealth funds, superannuation funds, corporates and other investors across all sectors.

Wendy has been appointed as Chair of the Foreign Investment Committee of the Business Section of the Law Council of Australia, and she has been at the forefront of the national security reforms recently introduced to Australia's foreign investment regime and has been leading the Australian Law Council's response to these changes. In addition to her transactional experience, Wendy has successfully obtained numerous FIRB Exemption Certificates for foreign investor clients operating in sensitive sectors such as energy, ports, communications, transport and other public infrastructure. Wendy has also assisted various clients with compliance related matters including FIRB reporting, audits and remedial action plans.
