Career
Oriol has extensive experience (25 years) in all matters relating to antitrust and competition law, field in which he has advised national and international companies active in a broad range of sectors and industries, including banking, energy, pharma, automotive, transport, entertainment and retail. He regularly intervenes in domestic and international cartel proceedings (including leniency programs), in merger control filings before national and European competition authorities, as well as in the analysis of complex transactions and in infringement proceedings for abuse of dominance. Oriol also has experience in private enforcement of competition law before Spanish courts, and in litigating before the European courts.
Professional Memberships
Member of the Madrid Bar, where he has been Vice-president of the Competition Section. Member of the governing board of the Spanish Association of Competition Law (AEDC) and the Spanish Association for the Study of EU Law (AEDEUR) and member of the IBA.

Degree in Law, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (1987-1992). Masters in European Studies, Barcelona (1993). Masters in European Law, Université de Liège (Belgium) (1994).
Visiting professor in Competition Law at Universidad Carlos III and the Madrid Bar. Languages: Spanish, Catalan, English, French.
