Luís Pinto Monteiro

Luís provides strategic legal advice to clients in relation to EU and competition law issues, including the execution of business strategies with risk management guidelines, national and multi-jurisdiction antitrust and merger control proceedings, compliance programs, litigation before national and European courts as well as state aid proceedings. Luís represents national and multinational clients across a wide range of sectors and industries, including consumer goods, financial services, pharmaceutical and health care, technology and automotive industry. With almost 20 years of experience, a large majority of which were devoted to EU and competition law, Luís has been involved in most of the antitrust cases decided by the Portuguese Competition Authority.

Holds an LLM in Antitrust and Regulation from NYU and he is fluent in Portuguese, English, French and Spanish.
