Louis Chiam

Louis is a partner in the Allens energy team focusing on power & utilities, natural gas, climate change and major projects. He regularly advises a range of private sector and government clients on novel and strategic transactions. He has advised energy retailers, energy market bodies, developers and investors on a range of projects including in relation to electricity supply arrangements, early stage hydrogen projects, renewable energy projects, batteries and energy storage, connection agreements, offtake and PPA agreements, transmission network arrangements, as well as significant large-scale energy M&A and joint ventures. He also advises on energy markets and regulation, including changes to the National Electricity Rules and National Gas Rules.
