Kirsty has over 10 years’ experience in intellectual property law and heads up the firm’s in-house trade mark and branding agency.

Kirsty advises private businesses, public and government bodies, research centres and educational institutions on a wide spectrum of intellectual property matters. With a thorough knowledge of all elements of Intellectual Property, Kirsty focuses in particular on brand management and contentious and non-contentious trade mark work.

Working closely with clients to understand their business needs and objectives, Kirsty uses her significant experience to create appropriate branding strategies and implements them in relevant territories worldwide. Kirsty has also run a number of complex and contentious matters before the UK Intellectual Property Office including oppositions, invalidations and revocation actions and is highly familiar with these processes.

Kirsty regularly publishes internal and external commentary in relation to Intellectual Property and was featured on the STV news discussing intellectual property, having been identified as specialist in this area.

Kirsty also presents a regular series of webinars relating to media and intellectual property and has also presented for various external organisations such as Hidden Door Festival, Edinburgh, the Fearless Business Expo and MBL Seminars, in relation to intellectual property and media and entertainment.
