Amy is an experienced employment law solicitor having specialised in this area since commencing her career with Thorntons. She advises clients in all areas of employment and discrimination law. Her pragmatic approach seeks to achieve the best outcome for clients when dealing with employment and HR issues.

She has wide experience dealing with all areas of employment law including disciplinary and grievance matters, discrimination, collective consultation/industrial relations, performance management, ill health and absence, drafting and reviewing employment documentation, reorganisations/redundancy situations, and termination of employment/exit packages. She also represents both employees and employers in the Employment Tribunal.

Amy has a particular interest in TUPE and is the lead employment advisor in our healthcare team, working closely with the team to advise clients on the legal and practical employment and TUPE aspects of acquisitions and sales in the healthcare sector as well as employment and HR advice post-purchase. Amy also works with our land and rural business, commercial property and wider corporate teams to advise on employment and TUPE issues arising from acquisitions and disposals.

Her client base includes senior employees, universities, colleges, manufacturing and high-tech companies, the healthcare sector and SMEs.

Amy regularly provides in-house training to clients, presents at external events and comments on employment issues for the press. In particular, she frequently speaks at dental industry events about employment law and HR issues.
