Joseph is a Co-managing Partner of Chandler Mori Hamada. Prior to joining the firm in 2018, he was a partner in the Bangkok office of a respected, international law firm, and also has extensive banking and project experience in the US and the UK. He specializes in project finance, acquisition finance, general banking and M&A, with a focus on the renewable energy sector, in Thailand and across Southeast Asia. Many of the energy projects he has advised on have been awarded best in class, “Deal of the Year” recognition by international legal commentators. He acts for a variety of clients domestically and internationally, including sponsors, lenders and borrowers.

Levanta Renewables (Thailand) Co., Ltd.: advising Levanta group, comprising nine Project Companies, in securing project financing from Thai lenders for 24 solar energy projects. This transaction exemplifies the growing emphasis on green financing, structured as a green loan in full compliance with the Lenders’ stringent green loan standards. This deal marks Actis group's first Thai investment in a portfolio of renewable energy projects of 139.4MWp.
Kasikornbank Public Company Limited: advising the client on the refinancing of (1) an approximately 5 MW photovoltaic solar power plant located in Nong Ko Sub-District, Kranuan District, Khon Kaen Province, Thailand, developed by Beam Corporation Co., Ltd.; and (2) an approximately 4 MW photovoltaic solar power plant located in Khok Klang Sub-District, Lam Plai Mat District, Buriram Province, Thailand, developed by Shine Energy Co., Ltd., with each project constructed and operated under the Community Cooperatives Scheme, originally financed by a borrower’s affiliate and requested to be refinanced by the lender.
An Irish subsidiary of a leasing company: representing an Irish subsidiary of a leasing company in relation to an aircraft lease agreement concerning an A350 aircraft with an international airline as the lessee. The deal involved three jurisdictions (Ireland, England, and Thailand), with complex forms of lease structuring under Thai and English law.
