Mr. Yao graduated from Peking University with LL.B. and B.A. major in economics, with LL. M. and J.D. from Washington & Lee University School of Law.

Mr. Yao has worked in Jingtian & Gongcheng since 2013. Prior to this, he worked 4 years with Zhonglun Law Firm.

Mr. Yao specializes in outbound investment, M&A, resources and infrastructure investment, funds and PE, and foreign direct investment.

In the area of outbound investment, Mr. Yao has represented large state-owned enterprises and private enterprises in their outbound investment projects in Africa, Southeast Asia, Middle Asia, Australia and North America, clients including New Hope Group, CGGC Group Kingho Group and etc.

Mr. Yao was admitted to PRC bar in 2008, and passed New York State bar examination in 2007.

Mr. Yao's working languages are Chinese and English.
