Javier Mata

Javier Mata specializes in bankruptcy law and restructurings, civil procedural law and arbitration. He works in complex restructuring and insolvency processes, designing strategies to reach agreements, sell production units and liquidate companies. He has a wide experience in cases regarding financial criminal law and measures for the prevention of occupational hazards. In the remit of Corporate Law, he has particular expertise on challenging corporate agreements and white collar crime.

He has advised and still advises as counsel to the parties involved in various corporate law arbitration proceedings, derived from corporate conflicts. Furthermore, he has also advised clients in technically complex arbitration proceedings derived from construction and real estate law.

Javier is a Senior Partner at Andersen. He is the Managing Partner of the Madrid office and responsible for the Insolvency department.

He is an author of several publications and regular speaker at seminars.
