Esmeralda is involved in the procedural part of the defence of companies in criminal proceedings. Her experience in the identification and management of risks, as well as in the development and implementation of crime prevention programmes and advice to legal entities is extensive, going back to regulatory compliance in the banking sector, as well as in advising companies and individuals.

She is an expert in managing whistleblowing channels and conducting internal investigations. She was part of the first promotion of Judicial Experts, which allowed her to carry out expert evidence for the different procedures of the department. As part of this qualification, she has also been included in the only two lists of Judicial Experts in the area of regulatory compliance for the Supreme Court, the National High Court and the Regional High Courts.
