Hugo Allan

Dual qualified in Scots and English law.

A highly experienced property lawyer with more than 20 years experience and rated in Chambers and Partners, Hugo advises clients on commercial real estate transactions through out the UK, in particular securing finance for property, development and investment projects.

He has acted in the purchase and sale of retail developments including shopping centres as well as dealing with the purchase, development and sale of major office developments. Hugo also acts for major retailers taking leases in UK major locations as well as for Landlords in all aspects of landlord and tenant work. He has a particular interest in construction and development.

Hugo’s recent work has included dealing with the purchase, development and sale of a portfolio of shopping precincts; acting in the property aspects of a sale of 2 shopping centres and the purchase and sale of a number of hotels and hotel portfolios. Hugo has also been active in Landlord and tenant work in Industrial, office and retail property and the sale of Industrial Units.

Hugo has extensive Real Estate finance experience having acted over his 21 years for all major clearers in a wide variety of secured property transactions with recent experience acting for real estate teams and wider lending teams in all aspects of property security work

Hugo has lectured at Aberdeen University and was recently involved in a major bank’s in house real estate training program.
