Clare specialises in handling high value Court of Session and Sheriff Court actions in the personal injury, clinical negligence and industrial disease sectors. Clare has many years' experience of dealing with both the pursuit and defence of reparation actions. While her initial experience was in acting for insurers in defence of personal injury and clinical negligence claims, she now acts for pursuers and private companies in a wide range of reparation matters. Included within her considerable experience are a substantial number of industrial disease cases in which she has represented individuals and commercial organisations. Clare has acted for a range of commercial clients in defending claims for asbestos-related diseases, and has particular expertise in the field of noise induced hearing loss. In addition, she has represented pursuers in complex clinical negligence claims. She represents clients in high value claims arising from fatal or catastrophic injuries sustained in road traffic accidents. Clare also pursues many high value employers’ liability claims arising from accidents at work.
