Has more than 30 years of experience representing a broad, diverse client base ranging from majors, independents, oilfield services, private equity and their portfolio companies in a broad spectrum of transactions focused in North America, including the purchase, sale, restructuring, joint venture and/or exchanges of oil and gas exploration and producing properties, processing plants, production and storage facilities and pipeline systems located onshore and offshore, including the Gulf of America. Regularly advises on foreign investment into the US oil and gas sector.

Handles midstream transactions, ranging from gathering and transportation to processing and marketing of hydrocarbons. Also represents a broad array of O&G minerals and royalties buyers and sellers in the continental United States.

Advises on many carbon capture, utilization and sequestration projects, including real property rights and commercial issues involving enhanced oil recovery and CO2 sequestration. Counsels on natural CO2 upstream production and midstream arrangements for the use of CO2 in enhanced oil recovery transactions. Also regularly advises creditors and debtors in financial restructurings, distressed investments and acquisitions as well as Chapter 11 proceedings and “363” sale processes.
