Dispute Resolution

Viktor is a Senior Associate in the Dispute Resolution team of the Budapest office, where he has over 15 years' experience in a broad range of matters, including complex commercial, administrative, corporate and real estate lawsuits, as well as in bankruptcy and taxation.

Over the years, he has been involved in numerous litigation and dispute resolution cases including representing an international real estate developer group in a FIDIC-based arbitration, representing a leading international construction enterprise in several FIDIC-based disputes related to the construction of Budapest's metro line 4, and acting for a major Hungarian gas trade company in several high value arbitration and litigation procedures.

In addition, he has advised a major French-based utility company in connection with several litigation, arbitration and bankruptcy cases, and represented an international food services and facilities management corporation as well as major industry players in large scale taxation lawsuits.

Viktor also has experience in major Hungarian sporting projects, such as Budapest's bid to host the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2024, as well as in a complex sports-related urban development project in Budapest.

Before joining the Bird & Bird team, he worked at major international and Hungarian law firms. In addition to his native Hungarian, he is fluent in English.
