Career

I assist companies in carrying through their digitalisation efforts and when outsourcing - focusing equally on the technical and people aspects of such projects, as well as the legal technicalities.

I specialise in outsourcing and technology projects and have worked for over 15 years in this field, after a couple of years working primarily with IP and litigation. I handle all types of matters within outsourcing and technology, from small to large, and from simpler matters to complex, cutting edge technology upgrades, including new technologies such as cloud computing, machine learning, AI, 5G, IoT, blockchain/distributed ledger technology. As part of my work on outsourcing and cloud-based agreements, I have advised on the data protection issues related to such arrangements.

I am passionate about working with people and thrive when handling complex matters with multiple stakeholders and a team to manage - across both lawyer- client and sometimes supplier teams.

I have been fortunate to work with clients across all verticals, but my main focus is on regulated sectors, primarily telco and financial services sectors and thus comprehend the peculiar regulatory aspects of dealing within these sectors.

Most of my client base is on the customer side. However, I regularly advise on the vendor side as well and in my career, I have been seconded to vendor companies.

My work is broader than typical legal services having advised on strategy, service model and deal structure, organisation of outsourced functions, procurement process strategy, and management and drafting of business cases.

My experience over the years with complex acquisitions and the maintenance thereof has given me a thorough understanding of what is essential for the client. My experience across both customer and vendor side enables me to have a view of both sides of any issue arising in contractual discussions as well as a deep understanding of the organisational challenges and roadblocks involved. On that basis, I adopt a pragmatic approach to the procurement process which together with in-depths industry knowledge and specialisation, including experience with relevant solution models, secures better results.
