Practice Areas

Valentina specialises in banking and finance (with particular focus on debt capital markets, structured finance, inventory financing, trade receivables, distressed debt). She is one of the Partners in the Banking & Finance Department and she is widely acknowledged and recognised in DCM as well as Structured Finance transactions.

She is regularly involved in securitisation transactions with all different asset classes as well as in complex and innovative transactions (including cross-border transactions, set-up of servicing/outsourcing platforms and inventory financing deals, where she is recognized as a pioneer), by assisting investment banks, international companies and financial institutions/funds, also in cooperation with the main international law-firms.

She has also a wide experience in NPLs and UTP transactions (assisting either the originator or the assignee) either within the typical plain vanilla transactions or complex and structured transactions. She has assisted clients in the most significant non-performing/sub-performing deals of the last decade such as the dismissal of REV portfolio and Barclays lending activities in Italy. She has also assisted in several transactions involving the dismissal of huge portfolios of NPEs and UTP receivables and the set up of a proper servicing platform, such as Juliet.

Valentina is also known as a key lawyer within the Fintech sector. She is author of various articles on Italian and international reviews and she is co-author of the book “Fintech Expert”.

She graduated in law, magna cum laude, in 2006 at “Bocconi” University of Milan and has been admitted to Milan Bar Association since 2009.
