Thomas J Coyne

Tom has served as leader of the firm’s 50-member national Real Estate practice group for almost 25 years and has handled billions in commercial real estate transactions across the U.S. and in many foreign countries. He concentrates his practice on transaction planning, strategy and execution.

His principal clients include public and private companies, real estate developers, institutional and fund investors, and family offices and individuals.

Representative transactions include acquisitions and sales; development; company headquarters; large-scale mixed-use projects; office, retail and industrial leasing; digital infrastructure; government incentives; complex easement agreements; borrower financing; broker agreements; brownfields redevelopment; resolution of commercial real estate disputes; and real estate tax challenges.

Tom has spoken and published widely on commercial real estate topics. He is a member of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers. He is a former chair of the Downtown Cleveland Improvement Corporation, the Real Estate Committee of the United States Law Firm Group, Family Transitional Housing, Inc. and Cleveland Neighborhood Progress. He currently serves on the board of EDWINS Leadership and Restaurant Institute.
