Marla R. Butler

Marla is a partner in the firm’s Intellectual Property & Technology Litigation practice and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. She delivers consistent results for a broad range of sophisticated clients, ranging from global technology and life sciences companies to manufacturers, software and communications providers, and other cutting-edge and innovative companies. She has litigated and/or tried trials in state and federal courts nationwide.

Well before she enters the courtroom, Marla applies fine-tuned legal judgment and business insight to help clients anticipate and manage commercial risk while optimizing their patent portfolios. She conducts comprehensive early case assessments that clarify risk, forecast outcomes, and define strategic options. She has also represented parties in numerous arbitration proceedings.
