Steven Smith

Steven is a partner in the dispute resolution group and leads the construction team. He specialises in all types of commercial litigation and dispute resolution with a particular focus on construction disputes and contractual disputes.

Steven provides clear, straightforward and commercially focused advice to identify cost effective solutions to deliver his clients’ objectives.

Steven has broad experience in commercial, construction, regulatory and financial/banking disputes, having previously worked at a large international law firm and in-house at a leading City regulator, where he was part of a team conducting high profile cross-agency investigations. He now acts for a range of clients from individuals and owner-run businesses to large national and international companies. Steven acts for claimants and defendants in all stages of litigation in the High Court (including the specialist divisions) and County Court. He has considerable experience in other forms of dispute resolution, including mediation, negotiation, adjudication and arbitration.
