Simmy obtained her Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School, where she focused on labour, employment, and human rights law. She completed a practicum at the Human Rights Legal Support Centre, honing her advocacy skills and human rights law specialization. In 2013, Simmy received her Master’s Degree in Critical Disability Studies from York University, where she focused on complex disability and accommodation matters. Simmy holds a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in Global Development Studies from Queens University.
