Scott Macdonald is a partner in Sidley's Investment Funds practice group in the New York office. Scott represents prominent institutional investors in connection with their investments in leading private investment funds, funds of one and separate and/or managed accounts, co-investments, secondary transactions, fund restructurings and acquisitions of interests in fund sponsors and otherwise. Over the past 15 years, he has advised state and local pension plans, sovereign wealth funds, foreign pension plans, financial institutions, insurance companies, endowments, family offices and other active market participants.

In addition, Scott represents fund sponsors in the structuring, formation and operation of private investment funds, including private equity, real estate, infrastructure, natural resources, food and agriculture, hedge and hybrid funds, as well as funds of funds. He also advises fund sponsors in the formation, operation and regulatory compliance of their investment advisers and related entities.
