JAIME BARTLETT is a seasoned trial attorney who brings that experience to bear in how she handles each of her matters. In recent years, Jaime has led or played a leading role in representing public and private corporations and their directors and officers in securities class actions and derivative suits, including in the successful defense of a corporate director at trial in Delaware Chancery Court. Jaime’s work extends to representing clients in other civil fraud matters in California state and Federal courts. In 2021 she was lead attorney on behalf of California taxpayers winning a trial verdict against the California Department of Motor Vehicles for violating the privacy rights of California drivers. From January to April 2014, through a lawyer-on-loan program, Jaime served as a full-time Assistant District Attorney for the San Francisco District Attorney’s office, obtaining several successful misdemeanor convictions.

Jaime serves on the editorial board of the Enhanced Scrutiny blog, where the Sidley team provides timely updates and thoughtful analysis on M&A and corporate governance matters from the Delaware courts. Jaime is also co-chair of the Northern California chapter of the Women in Law Empowerment Forum (WILEF) and the San Francisco office chair for SidleyWomen, a committee focused on the retention and promotion of women lawyers at Sidley.
