Sam Kamyans is a partner in the Tax Practice Group in the Washington, D.C., office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Sam is well regarded for developing and implementing creative, uniquely tailored transactions across the capital stack related to renewable energy, clean fuels, carbon management, and other energy transition projects, primarily involving monetizing tax credits. He advises domestic and international private equity funds, portfolio companies, strategic energy investors, and major sponsors to tailor structures that optimize the clients’ commercial and tax goals.
