Career

Mr. Rui Luo's practice focuses on IP litigation and IP-related anti-monopoly dispute resolution. He has particular expertise in representing multinational clients in complex and high-stakes IP-related disputes in China. Mr. Luo is a veteran litigator with extensive experience in all types of IP-related disputes, including patent, trademark, copyright, trade secrets, competition law and anti-monopoly. In more than 15 years of practice, Mr. Luo has represented clients in IP disputes before all key IP courts in China. With his deep insights into the IP protection system in China, Mr. Luo has helped his clients win many landmark cases before Supreme People's Court and other key IP courts/tribunals in China, and many of these cases were selected as model case for the courts. Mr. Luo is also experienced with SEP licensing transactions, assisting many leading licensees in both negotiation and litigation against almost all major licensors worldwide. Mr. Luo has represented clients in several high-stake SEP rate-setting cases. Leveraging his technical expertise and knowledge, Mr. Luo also represented clients in many patent invalidation proceedings related to telecommunication and semiconductor technologies.
